Back to civilization.

Hello all.

I hope most of you spent your holidays wisely. Hohoho. This coming from me. My trip tu the east coast in Pahang was all right. The beach was all right, the company was great, but the hotel service sucked a little. Well, maybe a lot. But all is not lost. Because a great company is what we need most.

On monday, i took a 40 minutes plane ride to Kuantan with The People (Alison, Kaling, Radd, Dwi and Dr. I) at 9.40 am. Much to our surprise, we reached Kuantan Airport on time at 10 am; Which was rather unusual, especially flying with MAS. The weather was sunny, just the way i like it.

The cab ride then took about another 20 to 30 minutes before we reached our hotel. The 2 day conference, which we was our main purpose of going to Kuantan was at The Swiss Garden Hotel. From the website, the hotel didn't seem THAT bad at all. It was a four star hotel which offered a comfortable place to stay and friendly service. Hmph. All that expectations went down the drain, and into the sea. It took us forever before we could check-in to our rooms, and the food was not worth its hotel priced meals.

By 3 pm, (we reached the hotel at 10.30 am) we were given the keys to our rooms. The girls bunked in with Dr.I, and the guys took another room. We quickly changed, and we headed straight to the beach.

Small waves continuously hit the sandy shore, kept us feeling rather calm and serene. The blue beyond made us run into the water. The warm sand was thereputic on my feet. We took loads of pictures by the beach, and it all turned out great, somehow. I think it was the blue and sunny sky.

We went to the poorly organized conference in both the mornings, and spent the rest of the days either lazing our cool temperatured rooms, by the beach or dipping by the pool sipping on coconut juice. Yumm. At night, we hunted for seafood.

Pictures of us by the beach will be posted up later. They're in Kaling's camera.

On wednesday evening, The People went back home after spending three days in the sun.

I later joined my family, extending my stay to 5 days in The Swiss Garden Resort. Sheesh. Let me tell you something. That place treats their guests like we're from a rural area, or something. Sheesh. Get a grip.

Anyhoo, we did our own thing. We drove out right up to Cherating beach which probably took about 30 mins. Beautiful.

On Friday, we decided to check out from the ever-so-lousy hotel at about 10 am. Dad wanted to just take a slow drive back to KL. The drive back from Kuantan back to KL was rather pleasant. In the middle of the way, we decided to take a detour and so, we went up "Bukit Tinggi". We always end up going somewhere or doing something spontaneously.

Bukit Tinggi was about 3500 feet above sea level. The air was pleasantly cool especially under the shade. When the wind blows, the air seemed much cooler. There was a kind of a French Village themed resort up there. Beautiful place, but there was a lot of ugly people. Ugly behavioured people, mind you. Hmph. Never the less, i kinda liked the place.

There was a Japanese Garden in a rain forest at 3500 ft above sea level. Aparently it's the first in the world. It was nicely done. With pretty koi ponds, and HUGE fern trees could be found at the fringe of the jungle.

These are the pictures from our trip up to Bukit Tinggi. Cheers.

Me enjoying the soft breeze by the beach!

The Koi Pond high up on 3500 feet.

The French-y Village.

Apparently, this is the largest species of orchids.

Check out the huge fern!

Pretty-ful.

Some more pretty-ful flowers.

More pictures to come soon. When i get them from my usual source of
photos. haha.
