Mad Mane, man.

Seriously.

Why is it that your hair looks best right before you're about to go to bed?

Could it be that hair also become relaxed as you wind down at the end of the day? It loves sleep too?

Hmm.

Sleeping to Dream About You.

Here i am wondering if there's anybody who is still kepping up with this humble blog of mine. If not, maybe now's the time to force restart this space.

I've lost my previous skin and tagboard a while ago. Will try to recover the tagboard, at least. :)

By the by.

Jason Mraz's show was such a refreshing (or rather hot and sticky) midweek treat! Kicked off with the upbeat and on a positive note of "Make it Mine"... and we all boogied down right till he left the stage.

There's a reason why that chap was nominated for We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. His approach was totally different for this album. Apparently in a recent interview, in comparison to his previous album, it was more of heartbreak, travelling and lonely nights in hotels.

But this time around, he just decided to live life again before anything else. He did gardening, savoured organic food, stayed home, spent time with family and friends... surfed. I suspect all those things he did had a strong influence on his happy tunes in the current album.

There's a lesson to be learnt. We can have to power to alter our attitude/morale/moods... so long we keep doing to things that we love most. To be exact, things that inspire us to become a better person.

But i suppose wholesome, healthy, and physical activities, are recommended. :)

I know i say this *all* the time... but man, does time flies!

It's been a year (plus) since...

1. My cousins and i came up with our little 'rooftop barbecue' plans.
2. I had a major crush on... er. hehehe. that guy.
3. I bought myself a cubic zircona 'crackerjack' ring. Thaaaat's riiiight.
4. Since my family and i went to Langkawi and thought that we weren't gonna make it back to the mainland.
5. My dad had a heart attack.
6. liyana and i were bumming around... going to Midvalley to see Christmas decorations that's been put up.
7. Last saw Kaling.

What's in store in our future, no one knows. But we know this for sure... we have the power to make the best choices possible. :)

There is a jazz tune that's been perpetually playing in the back of my mind.

It's almost like i'm in a state of serenity, oblivious to the forecast of next year's economic turmoil.

Part of me is enjoying lazing around the house... while another part of me is feeling rather restless. So many "what ifs" are left unanswered, and it's making me pace up and down the room anxiously.

I never really thought looking for a job is nerve-wrecking, before. Maybe it's just the waiting time that's killing me slowly from within. Apparently the law of attraction helps a person achieve their goals. I say, it takes a lot of strength to ignore negative thoughts especially if it originates from your own brain. They just dampen your spirits from within. So i guess the only way to fight negativity is to think positive, then believe it.

Now. Let me think it. Then, I'm gonna believe it.

About Time.

Wake up everyone
How can you sleep at a time like this
Unless the dreamer is the real you
Listen to your voice
The one that tells you
to taste past the tip of
your tongue
Leap and the net will appear

I don't wanna wake before
The dream is over
I'm gonna make it mine
Yes I... I want to own it
I'm gonna make it mine
Yes I'll make it all mine

I keep my life on a heavy rotation
Requesting that it's lifting you up
Up up and away
And over to a table at
the graditude cafe

And I am finally there
And all the angels they'll be singing
Ah la la la I la la la I
la la la la love this

Well I don't wanna break before
The tour is over
I'm gonna make it mine
That's fine...I want to own it
I'm gonna make it mine
Yes I'll make it all mine

And timing's everything
And this time there's plenty
I am balancing
Careful and steady
And reveling in energy that
everyone's emitting

I don't wanna wait no more
Oh, I wanna celebrate the whole world
I'm gonna make it mine
Because I'm following your joy
I'm gonna make it mine
Because I... I am open
I'm gonna make it mine
That's why... I'm wanna show it
I'm gonna make it mine
gonna make gonna make gonna make it
make it mine
It's mine...
It's mine...
Ohhhhhhh mine
Yes I will make it all make it all mine

Jason Mraz, Make it Mine

hey all (whoever's out there reading this). Kudos to you who still check out this humble blog.

I noticed how long it's been since i've updated this blog.

Lately, i've been having trouble trying to sort out my thoughts in to words, sentances... they're kinda in a whirlwind. There's like a storm/monsoon/typhoon going on in my head right now.

Either that, or my mind's been idle for far too long. That happens a lot to me, dunnit?

Everlong

Is blogging in the office unethical?

Random Thought: If i was a band. I think i'd be Foo Fighters. Hahaha no, not so much coz i'm awesome (although i'd like to think i am)... but more because, it seems to me that their tough exterior acts only as a shield to their mushy and romantic core.

I guess if you put your mushy side on display, it leaves you vulnerable.

I don't handle rejection well. I don't handle infatuation well, either.

*shrugs*

Hey, I wonder what's for dinner?

I am so in love with the idea of a wedding.

Don't get me wrong, i also appreciate the idea of a marriage. Heaven knows, that a perfect wedding doesn't promise a blissful marriage, in any possible way.

I've been to many weddings, but few have managed to capture my attention. I don't enjoy elaborate weddings, as it gets really messy.

Weddings need to be well planed... I have a very large family. And everytime there's a wedding/engagement, everyone tries to help, but it always ends up being an utter mess. One will have an opinion that doesn't nessecarily may comply with others'. That's usually the point when words (and tempers) flare.

My sister is very ambitious of my wedding (though none planned in the near future).

She envisions a wedding with tight rules and regulations; Family members musn't make unnessecary noise for fear of making fools out of themselves (and embarrass us), only selected family members are allowed to join the reception dinner, No family members should be doing chores during the wedding (like giving out party favours, etc).

She says... "we MUST take charge of the event."

I played along with the little mission in her head. But honestly, how does one tell the rest of the family members you don't want their help inthe nicest possible way. Hey dont get me wrong. I don't think i'm pompous, but sometimes... too many cooks spoil the broth.

Anyway. I went to a friend's beautiful garden wedding today. I told you, i'm in love with weddings. Despite the rain, i really enjoyed myself.

My friend Aaliya, got married to her, well, boyfriend before going back to Japan to finish her final year. They both live in Japan, so might as well just get married so they can settle down together. They planned the wedding in THREE months. They couldn't get any halls that were available... so they settled for an outdoor wedding in a park in Bandar Tun Razak, KL.

The wedding had very much of a Japanese 'look', if you ask me. And i LOVED it.

Here are some pictures of her wedding. Excuse the blurry shots; my camera is rosak.

The Flower Arrangements
I love Orchids. It's chic. It's elegant. It's poised.

The "Meja Santapan"
The burst of flora on the dining table makes it look fresh and 'alive'.

The Table Bouquet
In line with its theme blue and pink, the table bouquet maintains its chic persona.

But, amidst all that jazz,
at the end of the day...

A Walk Down the Isle.
Priceless.
