An extract from Yahoo! Buzz.

Predicting the next "American Idol" winner became an all-encompassing pastime for many TV viewers this season. After Tuesday night's performances, anxious searchers jumped the gun, generating spikes on "dial idol predictions," "dial idol results," and "who won american idol." By 9:30 p.m. ET Wednesday, searches for "american idol winner" and "who won american idol" flooded the Buzz. And those who figured Taylor Hicks was about to be crowned the newest Idol swamped Search looking for "soul patrol" and "taylor hicks pictures."

We hate to toot our own horn, but we predicted Taylor's triumph based on the Buzz after last week's performances. His popularity among women aged 30 to 54 and his strong regional base of voters in the South helped him clinch it. Taylor's hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, led the list of metros searching on the show, but the only city west of the Mississippi to make the top 20 metro list was "Idol"-crazed Honolulu.

Runner-up Katharine McPhee shouldn't sob into the steering wheel of her new Ford. She's established herself as a favorite of the men, traditionally a tough audience to reach through "Idol." Her comely curves and radiant smile won the guys over, and they accounted for two-thirds of searches on the cute Californian. Plenty of lookups were of the prurient variety, as drooling dudes sought pictures of her in a very memorable yellow dress. Will she vamp up her image to appeal to her established male following or turn them off with sappy ballads? Buzz will be watching...

Season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken made a victorious return to the "Idol" stage, sporting a new look that helped him pull in more buzz than last year's champ Carrie Underwood. And a surprise appearance by Prince stirred up searches on the funk legend—precisely the point. Gotta love the "Idol" publicity machine.

Other searches that drifted in amongst the confetti in the Kodak Theater included...

* Dionne Warwick
* "Do I Make You Proud"
* Chris Daughtry
* David Hasselhoff
* Carrie Underwood Pictures

* "That's What Friends Are For"
* Garet Johnson
* Meatloaf
* Toni Braxton
* Mary J. Blige

Woo!

My skin still smells of chlorine after last night's swim. The cold water didn't feel as cold after wading a few laps. Last night was kinda fun.

I've had no plans for the day.

But mom made me help her to clean the house. And as usual, i'd be the only who'd help her, anyway. She could never depend on my younder sister to help her clean anything. Sometimes i wonder why i still haven't kicked her in the rear yet. Sheesh.

It's really warm outside. I feel like diping in the pool, agaaainn. I hear the lawn mower. I hate it when people mow their lawns. I don't really like smell of freshly cut grass. Weird as it may sound, but really...there's that smell.

Taylor Hick has SOUL, baby. I love him. I just don't know why some people don't like him that much. I mean the other guys and girls on American Idol are good too...but Taylor is something different. Woohoo!

Soul Patrol!

I like it fancy.

Ah, Tis' the season of weddings again. Whenever there are school holidays...sheesh.

I've always loved the idea of weddings. The flowers, the fancy schmancy cake with a bouquet of sugar flowers on it, the pretty dresses, the best man and bridesmate speech, the tears of joy, the photographer capturing the moment that should last a life time.

Sigh. Lovely, lovely.

But i hate weddings that are so disorganized. Based on experience, weddings can be a real pain in the you-know-where. Urgh. Its actually so stressful that sometimes you just don't care if the flowers are not arranged perfectly, or the door gifts are wrapped neatly, as long as you get it done. I know that's not nice at all, but...Weddings should be for everyone to enjoy...not just the guests.

I don't believe in weddings that are made super duperly grand just to impress others, and in the end just end up making their family members do all the dirty work. Like, "could you please wrap the sliced cakes in aluminium foil like this? then, this.....then that...Oh, and please don't crumple it bla bla bla bla bla bla," I think theres a fine line between asking for help, and being bossy. Jeez. You want it that way, you do it yourself, then. That's when i'll say "Aren't these things suppossed to be done by today anyway? What is it still doing in the box?!"

*Inhales deeply*

Anyway.

The other beautiful thing about weddings is that the house, or the hall, or where ever that the wedding is at will always smell SO good. Like, for Malay weddings, there's usually these things called the "Bunga Rampai". OH. Smells so gooooooooddddd. They're made of finely sliced Pandan leaves, tossed with rose water, i think. And flower petals are also thrown into the mix. Beautiful, beautiful smell.

But wait a minute. Sometimes they use that for funerals too. OH man. hahahha Now i remember...They used the same thing to sprinkle on the tombs of the dead. But i don't know if they call it bunga rampai too.

I think photographers play a MUY importante role during weddings, man. I'd pay big money for a really good photographer. You know, those with good black and white photos...Pictures which will remind you and your spouse of the little details of the wedding. Sigh. Like this dude's work, check it out...

http://grantcorban.com

I plan to have a small but a really stylish and elegant wedding. Close family members, and a few of my closest friends. Hmm. I need to make a really good list of who can come to my oh-so-beautiful wedding. hahaha.

Today i may decide on an elegant wedding...Tomorrow i might change to a beach wedding, the next day i might change to a wedding with elephants or something. Hahaha. I'm pretty indecisive. I guess we shall wait and see what i'll settle with. Which i don't think will happen anytime soon. Hohoho.

Be sure to check out the website i linked, coz they're really purdy.

Cheers!

Stupid Girls.

What do you think about it? How do you define a "Stupid Girl"? Yeah, sure Pink's latest single sounds like any other songs that diss other celebs, but i think she may have a point. Even if Pink wasn't really known for her, how shall i put this, politically correct statements...She definately has a point.

Well, just the other day, Pink came on the Oprah show (i'm sure you knew), and what was interesting was that she and Oprah had a similar defination of what a "stupid" girl is. They said something like, its when a girl goes out of her way just to be like someone else. These girls may not even really be stupid, like morons or anything the like.

I think foolish is more of a suitable word for this phenomenon. I mean, really... abusing yourself just to be skinny? Foolish girls, Makan lah!! Sedap GILE.

There were other guests that say that some girls actually act dumb, because it may seem cute to guys. Some girls on the show admitted that they think so too.

And there, i was thinking, "Huh, thats a funny way of looking at it." It didn't make sense to me at all.

Then Dr. Robin says that, girls have always tried to look like they do things not as good as the guys, so that the guys don't feel intimidated by their talents, like in sports as an example. Then it made sense to me. Hah. I know some girls who do that. They can play, i KNOW they can. But sometimes when there are guys around...they don't play as well. When i was in school i noticed this, as well.

But i once read somewhere that guys accept girls that are like "one of the guys" better. It's easier for the guys to socialize if the girls are much more "them". This would include things like, smoking like the guys, drinking like the guys, or even cursing like the guys.

However, some guys are so used to the girl being like one of the guys, they start to lose their respect little by little for the girl. For example, the guys might not feel like they should be sopan-santun to the girl as much, anymore since she's one of the guys, anyway. Really, i read this somewhere.

Some people may disagree with me, but i think girls should just stop acting dumb. 'Cause its just plain annoying.

That, you have to agree.

Not Funny.

I dont get it. Why would people say things when they don't mean it. Like, it could be a bad thing like, "Oh, I like your shoes" but they really don't. Or, "No, you don't look fat in that at all*left eye twitches*"

Sigh. I was just curious.

First day of holiday... I couldn't get myself a friend to kill time with. I didn't have a car to drive my sorry ass around to meet my other girls for tea or something. All i did was to go to college with Li aka Molly, just to pass the CV thingie to Ms. Sophia.

I love the holidays. But these past few days, i often feel like a wet towel being dragged on the floor. I feel like crap, i look like crap and i'm talking crap. Argh.

PMS maybe?

La la la la la.
ARGH.

Davinci code is out tomorrow. Mari lah, mari. Let's watch it, so that i can look forward to do something.

I wish certain things hadn't happen, or it could've at least happened differently. Its making things really complicated.

This, however is kinda funny.

Singing in the rain.

Yesterday's trip to the second day of x games was simply dissapointing. This year's organizers suck like hell. It was just too commercial, that its so annoying. They let down for people who were there to watch the games. I waited for hours to watch Eito and Takeshi, and so i waited at the park course...Turned out they were at the vert ramp. ARGH. Babi. We had to stand!! During the previous years they actually provided seats. The elevated ones for a better view.

This year they had less sport, bad organizers, and ridiculous arrangement. The first day was not as messy, cause there were less people. But i guess the floor plan of the whole event wasn't fit for the large amount of people like yesterday. They had the event at the surf pool. They emptied the pool, and put ramps in it. There were sand!! What the hell?

The organizers should have been more wary of the unpredictable Malaysian weather. Everytime it rains, the competition gets canceled. If they're lucky enough, then the game gets postponed. Pretty unfair, right? There weren't enough shelter to cover the spectators from the heat or rain. Water was sold at 3 frickin bucks. No seats. Long waits. Equals to frustration.

And to prove that the organizers were more concerned of the sponsors, and not the games, take this; They provided the schedule of the games, but they didn't really put up the score boards. Hello? I wanna know who's leading, and who won! Bo-doh.

They had less categories compared to the previous ones. No bikes. But they added the Moto X. Yeah, sure they did amazing stunts, but doesn't that kinda like, encourage Rempit-ism? Okay, maybe not. But there were many of them there. I couldn't get to see my Colin McKay because there were no bikes category. Oh there was only the bike's flatland demonstartion. Big deal. That's very extreme.

If there are gonna be anymore X games in the future, I'll strive to get the VIP pass. haha. That way, i'll get the shade, and seats. Hmm.

But i felt like i was a tad bit too old for the event. ahhaha. I don't care. Eito is older than i am! He's still skating.

I <3 Him.

Throw away your television!

What did i do today, instead of reading for my finals which'll resume this monday? Hah.

I went for X games with my sister. I found that the weather was more extreme than the sports today. Not much things went on, except for the prelimenary rounds. In the afternoon, it was bright and sunny. The heat was so immense, that my skin now tingles with a warm sensation, exuding a reddish hue. Kinda cool, though. Being out in the sun makes me feel happy! But, my sister wasn't too fond of being in the sun.

Just as we finished our lunch, we decided to walk back out to the park...and surprise, surprise... it was pouring like water came out of the shower head. As people were running away from the rain for shelter, we went into the rain trying to get back into the park. Soaking wet, we were. Haha. My sister liked playing in the rain, but this time, i thought it was simply messy. Fun, but messy.

I feel like, Fran Fine has influenced me to have big hair. Hahaha. Okay, not that big. But just the poofy front part of my mane. ahhaha. The added volume to my hair.

Had waffles again today. My adik is a bad person to go out with. Makan like pigs, man. Dang.

.Message in a bottle.

Just cast away and I am lost at sea oh
Another lonely day and no one here but me oh
More loneliness than any man could bare
Rescue me before I fall into despair

I send an S.O.S. to the world
I send an S.O.S. to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Message in a bottle
Heyy

A year has passed since I wrote my note
I should have known it right from the start
**Only hope can keep us together**
Love can mend your life but love can break your heart

I send an S.O.S. to the world
I send an S.O.S. to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Message in a bottle ooooooh

Walked out this morning I dont believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles washed up on the shore
Seems I'm not alone at being alone
A hundred billion castaways all looking for a home

I send an S.O.S. to the world
I send an S.O.S. to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
Message in a bottle
Heyyy

Sending out an S.O.S.

This is my theme song at the moment. I hope that someone gets my message in a bottle. S.O.S.

Simply dissapointing.

I'm a rainbow in your jail cell

Woohoo.
One down, four more to go!

Today's dad's birthday. 51 years of age, still rocking. God willing for more years to come.

My mind is in a rut. Its a mess. Exam info all over the place in there. I need like a file organizer or something. Urgh. I've got other things that bother me as well.

People, Listen to:

1. Dont forget me by Red Hot Chilli Peppers
2. Message in a bottle by John Mayer or Incubus + No Doubt (cover)
3. Wild horses by Alicia Keys feat. Adam Lavine (cover)
4. Throw away your television by Red Hot Chilli Peppers
5. Girls on film by Duran Duran

So far these are my favourites on my playlist.

Just called Dee up, and she was in Kemaman Terengganu! Hahaha. She had a day off from the Club Med, Cherating where she's doing her industrial training. She took a twenty minute cab-ride...ALONE. According to her, its heaven. From the private beach, to the rooms, to the hot freshly tanned bods ON the private beach. Yummay.

But she drags the time when she has to stay at the staff quaters. Heheh. Well, thats what its all about i guess. She met a lot of people. Japanese, Korean, indonesian, Singaporen, anddd Aussie hunks!! You know, like when They speak LOIKE thees.

Hahaha.

Ouh, hungry.

OKaayyyy lets get back to Media planning notes!

Sunshine!

The weather this evening was wonderful! With the breeze blowing softly...(angin sepoi-sepoi bahasa), The sun shining bright with the blue sky as its backdrop.

We hadn't experience a beautiful evening in quite a while. Weather has been going mad lately, that its really scary.

Oh by the way, i got a kitten named Sunsine! It has black fur, but i thought she's super cute and cheerful, that i should call her Sunshine.

Man, what's with me and weather today. Sheesh.

I want WAFFLES and PANCAKES! Again!

Below are the quotes from Incubus band memebers. Pretty good stuff. They're such funny people. And man, do they have beautiful minds...

Frontman Brandon Boyd on percussions and lead vocals:

"She is a girl so I wouldn’t slap her. I would lock her in a room full of spiders and let her think about what she’s doing to the youth of America"
On what he would do if he met Britney Spears

"Thank you for not throwing any sharp objects onto the stage, because they really hurt."
After playing Just a Phase on 9/27/02

"Do I have something in my teeth?"
To Britney Spears with a mouthful of birthday cake on TRL 2/17/02

"Do we get crowns or anything?"
TRL, to Carson Daly who had just claimed – for better or for worse – that Britney and Brandon were considered ‘sex gods’

"This bra is dirty. Not like the dirty you all are thinking but there's actually dirt all over it. Like the girl who threw it up here, God bless her, had been rolling around in the dirt. But we like that!"
after catching a bra someone threw at them at the New Orleans 7/1/02 concert

"The girl I find who wants to talk about quantum theory in a bar is the one I want to marry."
Rolling Stone, on his “ideal” soulmate (Oh shit lah.)

"Female artists are the perfect example of a creator: They know how to make life and art with their bodies. Life comes from their bodies, so on a very basic level, they have more to write about."
RS, on some of his favorite female artists such as Ani DiFranco and Bjork

"Men have a lot less to write about, unless you're somebody like Tom Waits or John Lennon. And the female voice is much more suited to melody. Men have this barky thing-we're domesticated apes with a microphone."
More on why his favorite singers are mostly women

"If I come across hard in my pictures it's because.....I AM hard!"
TV show after some guy said that Brandon always looks so hard and tough in his pictures but in reality is really funny and laid back.

"Ah, heavy metal in the morning!"
During the 'Breakfast with Incubus' performance, after playing 'Drive'

Mike Einziger on lead guitar:

"I’m sort of an exhibitionist, even though I’m not packing that much heat. You just gotta be comfortable with what you've got!"
On being photographed for Guitar Magazine naked ( which was a prank )

"Our next record is going to have so much dancing on it thats there's not even going to be music, just dancing."
MTV Undercover

"You see, during the daytime, we all look like a bunch of sissies. At night, we turn into big, angry, ugly monsters."
Ozzfest 98 interview

Jose Pasillas on Drums:

"I have the mirrors here because I'm pretty vain. Ive been basically doing dance for about 20 years, ballet mostly. A lot of graceful motions..."
Being very modest on MTV Cribs

"If you have a smile on your face and you make a lot of noise, people really really think you know what you are doing."
The Morning View Sessions

"Half of Mexico City is related to me in one way or another.."
1/13/06 Podcast re: South America Tour

Ben Kenny on bass:

"Im into hip hop...Hip-hop dudes have a very predictable pattern of after-show activity and rock ‘n’ roll cats kind of thrive on the unpredictable.”
Meanstreet - 2002

DJ Chris Kilmore:

"I’m a famous international soccer player!"
to a young boy who didn’t know him but apparently wanted his autograph because other people wanted it too

"It was cool. I just used candles at night."
Kilmore before joining Incubus and sometimes having no electricity, Spin (October 2001)

Castles made of sand...

Final exams start this coming wednesday. Whoopee.

I saw thomas cup today. For those who don't know what it is (cuz you can never be to sure whatever cup it is), its like the world cup for badminton, i guess. It was kinda cool watching it. Actually i didn't know it was on today. This was how i found out.

I was taking my nap at in the evening, and i woke up to my mom and dad's shriek from downstairs. An aweful, high pitch, loud shriek. Not a very subtle way to waking me up, la right? I instantly jumped out of shock. I think i literally jumped and the blanket flew across the room. Anyway, i got down with my messed up hair and scrunched up face wondering what the commotion was all about.

Yep, so it was the doubles, Malaysian against Denmark.

I don't remember the score, but Malaysia won all three sets. Boo Yah! Well, the other Malaysian teams got lost to all the other Denmark's teams. Grrr. But Denmark didn't really won easily. It was quite a tough fight between these two nations. Cool, eh?

So there i was until about 7 pm shrieking along, loudly...as though the players can hear us over the radio waves. It was worth a try.

The match was in Japan, i think. There were many Malaysian supporters as compared to Denmark's. Yeah la, i suppose its because many of our people got the JPA scholarships to go there lah. And as usual, Malaysian lots are one of the noisiest surporters lah.

"Malaysia Boleh!"

*sigh* Our trademark.

Boleh la tu, kot.

Back To You <3

I am at that level, at the brink of poverty.

Yeah, its the beginning of the month, and i should be happy, but i haven't gotten the benjamins rolling. Yep, money prolly hates me. I keep givin' them away for other things.

I just saw another rainbow today. I've always thought that it's kinda ironic; rainbows always appear there when the sky's misty and glum. And when the sun shines at the right angle, then the rainbow works its magic at cheering the sky's misty moods. Ah, the wonders of the higher power...whichever you believe in.

I was feeling rather glum (of various reasons, one of 'em is dealing with Roseline next semester) before i saw the rainbow. I just felt like giving up. I've kind of lost my morale to keep up with things. Things that are important (like money). I was actually being silent in the car with dad and sister, for once.

But then the rainbow did work its magic; cheering my moody skies up.

OH
oh oh.

Guess who i saw at the gym todayyyy?

John Mayer.
Okay, on MTV.

Before i was into Incubus, John Mayer used to be MY hero. He is one hell of a person. I admired his sarcasm, and wit in his songs. Never did he fail to melt me with his husky, lazy voice. Grrr. I love him still. Ask Dee and Alea how madly in love i was with John in school. I'd day dream about him all day long...in EnglishLiterature class, math, science, history, economics, malay...aiyah, all the classes la. I'd doodle his name in all forms, colours, and sizes.

Hahaha.

Those were the days.

John Mayer is Hawt.

How's the new skin? As most of you may know, i'm super biased to the colour green. Green adds life to anything. Yes, even a week's old bread. Haha.

Ironically, i hated green when i was in school. I was more of a yellow, and orange kind of person. Even blue. If i were to chose a pencil sharperner, i'd have a problem deciding what colour i want. I like all bright and funky colours. I love rainbow coloured things.

I was very pro-yellow in school because i was in the yellow house for sports. And our rivals were well, all the other colours. Hahaha. But we never scooped anybody's eyeballs out, though. We only fought for the medals, on the track field, and for other sports.

I think one's favourite colour tells a lot about that person. Yes, i know its been proven before. But dont you think you can sometimes just feel something? Like, theres an aura?

Hehe. Okay, what's your favourite colour?

Yay.

Assignements are mostly done. Whats left is just our debate for AW. Uh, Booooring. Yucks man.

I'm so scared of Roseline now. Oh shoot. I fear for whats in dtore for us next semester. She should've warned us she was gonna teach us next sem...maybe we wouldn't have screwed ourselves over, dang it.
