I love them.

I think it's been about 100 days since my uncle passed away. How time flies. I'm glad to say that my cousins are coping just fine with their father's absence. I love them. : )

Will be away this weekend. As usual, our humble abode in Melaka awaits. I bet it's screaming "Clean me, damn it! Spider webs are so NOT in fashion!". Hohoho.

Lunch with the girls on Tuesday was... intersting. Hahaha. The original plan was to get all 7 girls together, but instead only 4 could make it. Wait. then it became to 3. Me, Shahidah and Dee. Hahaha. Man. Nontheless, i still had a swell time. Nothing like a bowl of good salad to go with a round of girl talk. Yumm.

Unfortunately, my camera dieded just when i needed it the most. Amazing. But, never fear, we had Dee's cam.

When we were on our way back to the kelana jaya LRT station from KLCC, we got Hanizah to get on the same train at KL Central. It was quite a ride home. Hahaha. We all shared our talents with all the other train riders. What were our talents? Reciting the script from Finding Nemo!

"I'm a Pirhanna! There in the AM-A-ZON!"

Hahahahaha.

Heh.

Your Personality Is Like Marijuana

You're laid back and easy going, so much so that taking a shower is often too much trouble for you!
Nevertheless, you're quite popular, and many people enjoy your company. You're rarely turned down.
You're prone to giggle fits, paranoia, and forgetting where you are exactly.

Circles.

One of the most annoying feeling is when you get taken for granted for your work. It's really annoying and frustrating, right? I'me pretty sure all of us have been taken for granted for. I'm also very sure some of us really do take things or people as a matter of fact, for granted. I know i do, at least. And to those who've ever felt i took advantage of you, i'm really sorry. Haha. Sometimes we do take things for granted without even really realizing we're even doing it. Sigh.

Like, us techinically working for my college...for nothing. Jeez. One thing (well maybe not one but there's prolly more) about this "oh-so-prestigious" college is that they cakap tak serupa bikin. That's really bad. For themselves and their students. I feel so used.

Full of Drama? You bet they are.

I mean, their staffs are not friendly, they gossip like there's no tomorrow, They back stab, they're such good actors that they should win a golden globe, and they're just not that professional as they should be. What kind of monkeys are running this institution, anyway? Wait, i shan't use monkeys, coz they happen to run their own community with at least a system. But this college is just a mad house. Stoopid people.

Argh.

That's not it.

Aparently the person i submitted my design to, still hasn't replied my mail. According to my dad the woman who's in charge is sick. Yeahhh, sure... two weeks, and couldn't she have let me know? What nonsense is this? no courtesy to let me know?

Well, people will always be human. But i think some of them are worst than being a monkey.

11 A.M.

Two more minutes to eleven am... I think it's appropriate for me to include these words. (haha)

11am
By now you would think that I would be up
But my bed sheets shade the heated choices I made....
What did I find?
I never thought I could want someone so much
Cause now youre not here
And Im knee deep in my own fear
Forgive my indecision...
I am only a (Wo)man

Been watching a little football these days...the fever finally kicked in. So, i end up watching matches up till 2am. That's the max i can keep myself awake for. I don't usually watch every game. Just those with Brazilians running around on the field.

I've never really followed football. Ever. I only try to find out who wins the cup, in the end. But this year, after seeing Brazil going against Croatia, i got impressed. It's really nice to see them play. Those two teams were so courteous. And friendly. And even their senior players look good. Hehe, though some of you may not agree, i like Cafu. And Kaka. And Adriano. And of course the famous Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, and of course Carlos. But these three names may not nessecarily be my favourites.

Croatia's Prso is kinda good too. I like him.

Okay, so i'm not a walking rule book for football, but don't you think the Australians play football like Rugby? I mean, whoa. Damn Ganas, right. Simply rempuh people. But they run really fast. MY theory is that these Aussies are pretty big people. Compared to the Brazilians... like Roberto Carlos is pretty...short. He has short legs. I think Ronaldinho has short legs too. ahhaha. Funny.

Whee, i shall get myself a Brazilian Jersey lah. Should i buy number 8? That's Kaka's number. Or should i get Cafu's number 2. Hahaha. Sigh.

My Favourite Mistake.

Me and my girlfriends from way back in school will be getting together next week or weekafter. It's been a while since we've lepaked. Besides Dee and Shadzy, and Yoke, i've not meet the others for quite sometime. Even then, the three i've mentioned above have been missing in action for quite a while.

It's funny how we've gone seperate ways, but we still make an effort to still get together, at least once in a few months. That's not much, but i think it's better than none at all. OH i miss them more, now. Can't wait for next week.

There's always a funny story to our usual get-together. But the one who always makes it funny because of her bloopers would be Shadzy. Man. Full of Action. Or when Dee says something "D-oh!". Or when there was this one time, we watched "The Eye" at Yoke's place and i never saw a ghost in that movie. Well, thats because i covered my eyes throughout the whole (well, almost) the movie with her teddy bear. Jeez. Or how Shajinaah drove her mom's Storm, and we parked outside our high school, and had a few smokes. Of course i didn't smoke, lah. It was too near my house. Die la if the folks found me there puffing away. Alea, on the other hand, has always been missing in action from our gatherings. She's always doing something. Jeez, Take a break, woman! I don't care next time, we're dragging you along. Even if it means dragging you literally.

I've been at home most of the time this holiday, due to cost constraints. Hohoho. Imagine how shriveled i must be right now. Been sitting for hours doing some job that's being thrown to me since last week...and my bum is really tiredddd. Everytime i sit down, i feel so fidgety. So i'll be going to the gym more often, i guess. Yeah, that should do it.

No one's online right now. Jeez.

Movie Marathon!

Chick Flick Roundup

By Joy Davis
Glee Contributor
Updated: Sunday, June 11, 2006

You have to be a woman to understand the full potential of a good chick flick. These colorful vignettes are emotionally complex romantic comedies (or dramas) that envelope us in a whirlwind journey of boy meets girl. And no matter how many times you see the same movie, you still want to see it again. That's because chick flicks typically leave you feeling really good about love in general by the time they end. Are you ready to fall in love again? Call your girlfriends, get the tissues, whip up some martinis and go rent some of these all-time favorites for a chick-flick round up of the classics and newcomers.

Pretty Woman
This one wins, hands down as the all-time chick-flick favorite. Julia Roberts, who plays an independent, carefree hooker, meets up with Richard Gere while she's… uh, on the job. She's from the streets… he's a successful corporate mogul, but he falls for her anyway because she's the most striking call girl he's ever had the pleasure of 'calling.' We know what's going to happen — it's totally predicable, but we love watching Julia's unwitting, slow and naive seduction.

Funniest moment: When Julia Roberts is trying to eat escargot (snails) and it flies off her fork and lands into the waiter's hand.

Bridget Jones's Diary
She's horribly frumpy, pudgy and prone to getting into the most embarrassing situations ever, which is what makes Renee Zellweger so convincing as Bridget Jones. At the ripe old age of thirty-something, this loveable Brit has vowed to make some changes is her life to avoid turning into an old spinster. How she ends up in the center of a love triangle with two hot bachelors fighting over is comic relief in a major way. Bridget is far from perfect: she drinks too much, she smokes too much and thinks she should shed a few, but we adore her because she's real, and most of all, in the end, even she gets her man.

Why we love her: Because Bridget is real with real flaws. When you watch this flick, you can't help but wonder… if she can look like that and still get a man, then there must be hope for me!

When Harry Met Sally
Can men and women just be friends? We know they can't, but Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal try to find out in this loveable, slow-paced flick about Sally and Harry. They met in college, and end up running into each other’s lives again and again over a span of a decade. She wants friendship. He wants more, but he'll take whatever he can get. The friendship grows and they become inseparable as they realize that they can talk to each other about just about anything--including sex--which takes us to that infamously loud restaurant scene. In the end, they stop fighting and give in. They end up married and gallop off into the sunset like two star-crossed lovers.

Favorite scene: When Sally does her version of a fake orgasm in public while Harry reels in embarrassment.

Waiting To Exhale
We see ourselves and our sisters depicted in this wonderful romantic comedy revolving around the lives of four independent women who bond as they try to dealing with their man drama--and we're talking tall drama. And because they are African-American women living in the desert (Phoenix) the pickings are slim. Whitney Houston, Angela Bassett, Loretta Devine and Lela Rochon bring the kind of fiery passion to their characters that's almost palpable. If you've ever been stood up, dumped or played by a man (that's all of us, isn't it?), you can relate to this keeper.

Memorable moment: Bernadine (Angela Bassett) who gets dumped by her cheating husband sets his clothes, car and just about everything else he owns, on fire in the driveway. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding is a loveable, modern-day Cinderella story about a Greek woman who finally finds her soul mate, but there's one problem: he's not Greek. Nia Vardalos portrays Toula, a practical, plain-Jane woman who finds her soul mate in the very un-Greek Ian, played by John Corbett. The culture clashes will make you laugh and the innocent romance that blossoms against-all-odds will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy all over.

Why this movie’s special: Because we all have families just like Toula’s in many respects, and you can't help but fall in love with the way they love her. This wonderful little flick embraces you with Greek culture, to the point where you're left wishing you had your own Big Fat Greek family.

The Break Up
This movie, starring Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston, recently hit the box offices and is already a monster summer hit. This is an unbelievably simple but funny movie about a relationship gone sour over a dinner-table dispute. Vince stars as Gary, the typical 'man's guy' kind of boyfriend. Jennifer portrays Brook, Gary's live-in girlfriend and an art dealer who’s had it with her boyfriend's apparent lack of respect for her hard work. The bickering escalates and suddenly it's an all-out war rivaling that of Michael Douglas' War of the Roses. You'll laugh out loud.

Scene-stealers: There are many and I won't go into detail because the movie is too new. Just go see it.

If you’re going to make it a chick-flick movie night, jot down some of the movie names mentioned and make a run over to Blockbuster's. You’ll have enough 'feel-good' movies to keep you and your girlfriends entertained for hours.

: (

Everyone's still not back from their respective vacations. And what am i doing now? I'm feeling really fidgety.

I can't stay still.

Need...to....get..out.

Need...to swim...in salty water.

Bored. Okay, this may be something i bring upon myself, right? I have the power to not be bored. but, nooo. My brain says something, but my body refuses to do what it says. Like when my brain says, "Go to the gym, or something, you lazy ass."

I was thinking of writing "Stupid Boy" in response to "Stupid Girl". Haha. I mean, Who do stoopid girls try to satisfy? Stoopid boys. Because they look at material things, like plastic breasts, right?

I want the beach some more!

Back to civilization.

Hello all.

I hope most of you spent your holidays wisely. Hohoho. This coming from me. My trip tu the east coast in Pahang was all right. The beach was all right, the company was great, but the hotel service sucked a little. Well, maybe a lot. But all is not lost. Because a great company is what we need most.

On monday, i took a 40 minutes plane ride to Kuantan with The People (Alison, Kaling, Radd, Dwi and Dr. I) at 9.40 am. Much to our surprise, we reached Kuantan Airport on time at 10 am; Which was rather unusual, especially flying with MAS. The weather was sunny, just the way i like it.

The cab ride then took about another 20 to 30 minutes before we reached our hotel. The 2 day conference, which we was our main purpose of going to Kuantan was at The Swiss Garden Hotel. From the website, the hotel didn't seem THAT bad at all. It was a four star hotel which offered a comfortable place to stay and friendly service. Hmph. All that expectations went down the drain, and into the sea. It took us forever before we could check-in to our rooms, and the food was not worth its hotel priced meals.

By 3 pm, (we reached the hotel at 10.30 am) we were given the keys to our rooms. The girls bunked in with Dr.I, and the guys took another room. We quickly changed, and we headed straight to the beach.

Small waves continuously hit the sandy shore, kept us feeling rather calm and serene. The blue beyond made us run into the water. The warm sand was thereputic on my feet. We took loads of pictures by the beach, and it all turned out great, somehow. I think it was the blue and sunny sky.

We went to the poorly organized conference in both the mornings, and spent the rest of the days either lazing our cool temperatured rooms, by the beach or dipping by the pool sipping on coconut juice. Yumm. At night, we hunted for seafood.

Pictures of us by the beach will be posted up later. They're in Kaling's camera.

On wednesday evening, The People went back home after spending three days in the sun.

I later joined my family, extending my stay to 5 days in The Swiss Garden Resort. Sheesh. Let me tell you something. That place treats their guests like we're from a rural area, or something. Sheesh. Get a grip.

Anyhoo, we did our own thing. We drove out right up to Cherating beach which probably took about 30 mins. Beautiful.

On Friday, we decided to check out from the ever-so-lousy hotel at about 10 am. Dad wanted to just take a slow drive back to KL. The drive back from Kuantan back to KL was rather pleasant. In the middle of the way, we decided to take a detour and so, we went up "Bukit Tinggi". We always end up going somewhere or doing something spontaneously.

Bukit Tinggi was about 3500 feet above sea level. The air was pleasantly cool especially under the shade. When the wind blows, the air seemed much cooler. There was a kind of a French Village themed resort up there. Beautiful place, but there was a lot of ugly people. Ugly behavioured people, mind you. Hmph. Never the less, i kinda liked the place.

There was a Japanese Garden in a rain forest at 3500 ft above sea level. Aparently it's the first in the world. It was nicely done. With pretty koi ponds, and HUGE fern trees could be found at the fringe of the jungle.

These are the pictures from our trip up to Bukit Tinggi. Cheers.

Me enjoying the soft breeze by the beach!

The Koi Pond high up on 3500 feet.

The French-y Village.

Apparently, this is the largest species of orchids.

Check out the huge fern!

Pretty-ful.

Some more pretty-ful flowers.

More pictures to come soon. When i get them from my usual source of
photos. haha.
