November Twenty Ninth , Two Thousand Four.

haven't been updating blog lately.

Had a great week end. Pakteh, Makteh, and their daughter Zarwah came over to Melaka...They too, enjoyed the weekend. I think. It started off on Saturday, they came, and it was pretty boring, until the next day we decided to go to Makteh's Niece's house in Melaka Town. Makteh comes from an arabic family...Most of her family members have nice, sharp features. But not all of them are fair-skinned, The arabs from Oman, are pretty dark skinned...sexy. haha. My family and I, were welcomed with warm, and friendly hospitality...I mean, REAL friendly. It was freaky at first, strangers treating us like, we're a part of their family, but hey, we got used to it after some time.

I noticed that the arab culture has one of the best trait...Hospitality. They are usually very generous, especially with food... Which is the reason why the arab world is blessed by god. For example, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Dubai...they are rich countries. Of course, not all of them are generous... I'm saying most of them are. In general, I mean.

While we were there, the house was always being lit up with laughter, and smiles... The host, was very friendly, and warm. We even had to wait for them to cook, and everything...But it was worth waiting, all right. But there was one thing about them which made me a LITTLE uncomfortable...maybe because I'm not used to it. They would talk about arranged marriage...Oh, boy. They sorta hinted at their eldest son bout me...god.Especially Makteh...But it wasn't much la... Thank god for that.

For me, I'm pretty used to the lifestyle, food, and culture of these arab people...My mom's family comes from the chinese and Indian Culture...so we're pretty used to all these mumbo jumbo stuff...The type of food in the indian and arab culture is not much of a difference. Like, the Halwa Masqat...or maybe Sugee, or maybe even Kacang pool eaten with french loaf...woohoo! These are my favs.

Oh well...My weekend had been a very enriching one. Kudos.
