Anyone Game Enough For A Round of Tarot?
Dee has a set of tarot cards which she doesn't use to predict anyone's future or discover one's past life... She finds it freaky and spooky enough after she read the history and the method, the do's and dont's of using the tarot cards. No shit, its freaky. It sure sounds cool, though.
I had looooooooooong day today. My group for Presentation Skills went all over SS15 to find a parking spot for us to check out the Multi-purpose Hall in TCSJ for the annual gig we're proposing to Dr Irene. We went up and down the campus' staircase to find the "right" person to talk to.And it wasn't JUST 2 or 3 storeys high...It was 4 storeys high! We sure did burn a lot of calories for this project! Earlier, we had checked out the roof-top garden in TCHT...a very nice spot to have a very intimate gig, but has many flaws...limited space, and boundaries. Also, it's pretty dangerous to have a gig up there when its 4 or 5 levels above the ground. In case the crowd goes wack, some people just might get lucky and fall flat on the ground. But i think it would be a very great place for a much smaller scale of a party or even small acoustic performances for the feel of intimacy between performers and audiences...The summery feel would be highly achievable! Real nice. Maybe we should have that someday. Ms. Stella also suggested us to check out the Basement hall in the Bali premises, but the place is managed under MPPJ. We tried to find out from the Bali Admin office about the space, and they said that there's no way for us to even view it, bacause its not allowed by MPPJ people. So, we ditched the plan. Too much of a hassle is never that good.
The MPH (Multi-Purpose Hall) in the main campus is beautiful! Fully air conditioned, with a sound system control room, a wide stage, with enough electric sockets, and even a VIP seating area elevated from the hall for a higer view. Really nice. The hall would comfortably accomodate about more than 500 or 600 people. It has two main exits, and an emergency exit. Its perfect, for our gig! I hope the gig we're planning in June will be able to be held in the MPH as well... But I'm thinking, since its a communications week, we might be having in over in Bali... But then again... Taylor's College is well known for their indecisiveness, and Last minute changes.
I'm all excited for this proposal to work out, and if we win the proposal, we would be able to carry it out annually... If the gig in April is a success, and has a great out come, it would be a great stepping stone for us to have one for following year, and so on! wow. How cool is that?
We now have to concentrate on the wholepresentation of it on the whole. Audio visual aids has to be organized as well as the oral presentation... Fun. Staring at the Power Point...again.
We wraped everything up by 4.30-ish, and Rad sent me to mid valley... As usual, Rad is our ever so loyal driver...haaaha. no la. He's just very Rajin..............anyway, I met up with them and i got myself a new hair curler...which by the way, is not very powerful creating curls for my hair...I want real nice curlssssss... like.... ouuu, aguilera's new 40's bob hair! Very Retro...I like! Then again, my hair isn't very easy to style...its not "style-friendly" at all!
Had dinner at mamak bistro, and headed back home. By the time we got back home it was about 8.30... tireddddd....
Its okay, i thought it was pretty fun, though!
