This has been one of the most hectic week this year...Woooohoo!
It started off with all the preps for ICS night on monday.
Long draggy hours of lectures didn't help either... like how ICG ends at 6.30 pm.
I'm pretty sure everybody was as tired if not more tired than i am.
Friday was a bomb.
After my Maghrib Prayers, i hit Taylor's Colllee SJ for the indian thingie night. Was there ealier that day for our rehearsal...but they took more time to decorate the hall up, so we didn't quite got the chance to practise for the last time, but its okay for me, coz we had a few tries of rehearsaing the day before...so i wasn't that worried. The entrance of the hall had two freaking banana trees tied to the railing as those welcome trees. they had those leafy things tied on the wall too! i was shocked when Mr. Kumar called us to carry 2 huge asses trees up to the 2nd floor. Mind you, the trees had young bananas included. weehoo. Boleh buat gorang pisang!
The dancers were a bomb! Everything went pretty smooth. Even our acoustic performance had very little glitch. Except for the mic stand kept swingging.hehe. Ka Ling, Arvin and i are called as " Arvin and the Chutney Ranis" ahaha... that was really funny. It was Mr. Kumar's and Gurmeet's idea of adding a touch of indian-y to our name!
Fudge was there as well...too bad she came alone, and i couldn't quite layan her that well. She then bumped into her cousin there! haha. Small world. Too bad Dee couln't make it...if not she could've seen Brendon! har har har, yeah, Brend-O...she thinks you're cute. I think so too..wakaka.
The closing slot that night was awesome!!!!!! Dr. Selva danced the banghra, Mr. Kumar was dancing with ms. Gayathri!! they totally brought the roof down!!! wooooohooo. Not bad, at all! Oh yeah, and Ms. Usha's son was dancing on the stage with the lecturers!!! ahahahahah... it was the cutest thing ever...he was totally my favorite dancer for the night.
It all ended by 11 pm, and Mr. Kumar wanted to treat all the committee members and performers to dinner, but i had to chiow cuz my dad was already on his way to pick me up.
Darn it.
He picked me up and we went straight to Maklang's house...With all the excitement that night, i forgot her son is getting married the day after next! hahaha. The aunties and uncles were there...not many just a few...the nice ones! That was great! Was soooo bloody tired.
The next day, i had to clean up my house coz the pengantins were gonna get ready at our place...coz the bride's house is too far from my cousin's house. So...yeah. As soon as we were done with our chores, we went to Maklang's place and helped whatever we could. That night i had to wrap us the pulut kuning is those small bags to be placed at the side of the pelamin. My butt was numb by sitting cross legged for too long. Ayu, lah katakan! hahahah. We went back at 12.30 am that day.
Next morning we got up early to get ready to sambut the pengantin. They got here and got ready while more of the bride's family members arrived at our place! wooo. Ramai gile. There were about 5 cars fully loaded with people. A pair of pengantin walked of my house, but it ain't me!! : (
We got there just in time, and the kompang people did their thang... yada3...let's skip to the jamming part! Because that day was my uncle's birthday, My cousin Abbas, Mas'oud and my dad jammed just for him. They played 'summertime' that really cool oldie. WOW. they totally rocked out. Dad was on keyboard, Abbas on guitar, while Mas'oud was supprisingly good with drums! not bad, la...*two thums up*
Then Pakcu had to take control of the mic. He sang like dunno what la. That evening, it poured! hahaha..I'm pretty sure everybody had blamed it on him! Overall, the whole wedding was a bomb, too!
That night we slept super early, and today i woke up at 11. haha.
Today everything was slower than the past week. wee.
Went out for tea with Yoke, coz she's gonna have training in KL starting tomorrow.
Had a loooooooooong chat.
We talked about everything.
hehe. Will miss you for 2 months!
That sums up for the whole week, lah.
Next week, i'll be having my study break. But i doubt i'll study until the last munite!
I don't think i'm alone...heh heh heh!
I'm out.
Now.
P/S : A walk to remember is the bomb! It's sooooo romantic. Just that Mandy Moore's speaking style is gedik. Kan? yes.
