One now, One Nescafe!
So this is what it feels like. Going to work down town.
It's not always a pleasant journey to and/or from work, when you've gotta take the public transportation mode. Every morning you get squashed in the train, and at least in the morning people still smell pleasant. But man, the rush hour back home is...you know. Not any better. hahaha.
Done with the third day of internship now going to the fourth day. Which is tomorrow. I feel like my precious time has been wasted today. Li and i were in the office, today from 8.30am to 6.45pm. And between that 10 hours and 15 minutes, all we did today was stare at the computer, talked to each other on msn, and at real time (when we actually sit side by side), carried some stuff for a collegue, and went for a 45 minute briefing. Exciting gile.
Not to worry, this whole week is an orientation week for us. It's for us to get familiar with how the place is, and how things work. Which is good, i think. At least we'll be on the same page as the rest of the people in the company. And so that we won't feel that stupid if we don't know how to use the photocopier.
About the people here, they're generally really nice. So far. hahaha i'm saying this because based on experience, people's true colours will show after a period of time, and in different situations. But at least we know they actually put in an effort to say "Hi, girls".. or offer us cakes, lah, Kuih lah, canned drinks, lah AND free lunch on the first day at Secret Recipe... i wonder what we'll get tomorrow. haha.
Besides the long hours of nothingness (in the meantime), i love the place where i'm at. Though smethings are a drag, like waking up at 5.30am to get ready... or taking a full load LRT to work, i think i'm very lucky to be where i am.
Brand management works and projects will officially start next week, for me and Li. I'll be helping the Nescafe team while i'm there for two months. If you wanna know which agency handle's Nescafe's account, go and google for it. Hohoho. A few people in the office said "Oh, that should be really fun!", when they asked me what i'm assigned to. Should be la, since Nescafe is really going all out for their promos these past few months. So their account's pretty active.
Okay, before i ter-wake up late for tomorrow, i'd better go get some rest now. Good night.
