Laughing hurts!
It does!
And this i GOTTA share...
A friend (whose name shall not be revealed), asked us one day, " Do you know, kuih Bulu?"
For a second i thought my hearing was a bit off. Then Aida and Brendon went,
"Ha? kuih bulu?!...OH you mean Kuih Baulu!!!!!"
Then we started laughing for god knowsss who long till i was hyper ventelating...(that how you spell it?) anyway...Brendon gave me a paper bag to breathe with... haihhhh..
After we settled down a little Liyana said, " Bulu, Engkau!" LOL! Off we were again laughing for another 10 minutes. Liyana started again..." Bau-lu... Bau-gua..." That really set me off!! i was rolling with laughter, and i totally turned blue...I think Aida and Brendon laughed hard because of how i laughed. LOL.
My friend was laughing just as hard...we told her to resume her story but her story is now not as funny as the Kuih Bulu story! Why did she call this kuih bulu? coz in hokkien, its called bowloou.
In the car on our way back to College, Liyana reminded me of the Bongo scene in the famous late P. Ramlee movie..Pendekar bujang lapok. The line goes like, something like this...
Pendekar Mustar : Haa... ini namanya, bongoo.
Ajis : Bukan Bongo, pak cik....Bonggowww( sound made from the larynx)....!
hahaha.... Liyana's version?
Friend : Haa....ini namanya kuih bulu....
Liyana : Bukan bulu, makcik.. Bowwwlou...

heh. 'bau-lu', 'bau-gua'. Even that sounds a bit too obscene, even for the likes of Liyana.
And you must always be careful everytime you laugh. You never know how much of your in-built laughing gas is escaping into the air and is effecting us.
More proof that laughter is contagious!
