Eye opener.
My evening walk today with Fudge left me with this haunting thought. How do you react to a teenage guy, who's mentally a retard and gets excited when he sees another girl(s)?
I am not using the word "retard" to put down the person...but he is, literally mentally challenged. Some thing like syndrome down.
Anyway,
Fudge and i was approaching the padang asam, when this guy the retard boy was walking with his dad, screamed with excitement at the sight of us, fudge and i. I've always felt sad at the sight of these kind of unfortunate people. I did not know exactly how to react to that. Should i have smiled? wave? turn around? Or just laugh? I noticed that the dad's facial expression was of embarrasment. He didn't look our way, instead he walked fast, tugging the boy along while looking downwards towards worn out grass path. Still the boy kept screaming with excitement while looking our way.
I couldn't bear to look that way...The thought of how hard his parents had gone through to take care of him. I know, because i have a cousin who's like that. He's a little crippled. However, since his mom had took him and his siblings away from their dad(now in singapore) i haven't seen him in ages! He's my age. I told Fudge to turn around the other way...and so we walked back towards my house.
Fudge said, " omg, he could've been so cute"
I believe so.
But more important, is... I believe people like them are sent to earth as a test of how do we manage them. A test of patience. And its our responsibility.

Heyz,
Curiously, a friend of mine was discussing about this specific issue just the other day, and we came to a conclusion that a person who isn't normal is put here to change and mold the people around the said person. I guess it takes a whole lot more to love and care for someone like that, and when your love is returned, it is usually so much more than that of a normal person ;)
