Reflection of my life...
All this free time...it's got me thinking about many things. About me. About others. About life in general.
" An idle brain was the devil's workshop"

Hell yeah. He's right. Once you keep your brain idle, you start to brood. When you brood, you're moody. When you're moody, you feel vulnerable. When you feel and think like you're vulnerable, You will be. And when that happens, god forbid, you're, really, quite pathetic.
You see, the brain is what you're made of. What we're all made off. The brain controls our emotions, chemical reactions...decisions. You name it. So it's totally up to ourselves to feed our brains with information and knowledge and beneficial stuff. With these knowledge, we can differentiate what's right and whats not...what's wise and what's plain naive.
So... yeah. My point is, "You are what you think". So, quit blaming anyone for what we are today. Sure sometimes (or at most times) external factors like the environment or society tends to hold you down...but that shouldn't stop yourself from being the best that you can.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not dissing anyone at all. It's just something i thought of...you know, reflecting upon myself. And while i spent each day observing people's behaviors.
But sometimes with all the knowledge that we have, the world full of irony can tip the scale, and we become fools. Ah, the sweet word called "Irony". It's the perfect word to describe the world we live in. It's everywhere! Don't get me wrong...I'm not being morbid. Just you know, trying to be realistic.
Tell me...Why is it the food that taste so good, be so bad? Or How people say they hate hypocrisy, but they're the hypocrites? Or get this...The police accepts bribary, when they're suppose to fight it? Or the best thing is...How is it that I'M going for the scholarship interview, but they're not interviewing me, but my friends?
Hahaha. I've always thought Irony is funny, really. I still do. That's why people say we're living a lie. On the contrary, i believe that there are truly, good people out there...somewhere. Like a rare piece of gem. I guess we dont often find them 'cause often times, it's difficult to identify which stones are precious and which are not. I guess it comes with experience, and exposure.
So just like what Jenhan said in his blog... "meeting new people comes with new avenues of parting as well", that's how we grow. To gain the experiences, we have to grow. Growing isn't a peice of cake, either. Um, literally, we can grow by eating cake...but you know what i mean.
Anyway, coming back to the knowledge thing and tying it with the whole concept of "Irony"... We can't ever change the way the world works. That's really just stating the obvious. but we can always prepare ourselves to go through the ups and downs in life. Which will definately happen. So who're we kidding? Only ourselves. No one in this world cares about you, besides your closest family members, if you're lucky enough, you're husband/boyfriend/friends. But even so, there's only so much they can do for you. The extra mile...? You take it.
It's really up to you and myself, of course, to fight and survive and make the most out of our lives.
