Highlight of the day :
Being up on the 78th floor of the Petronas Towers.


A cousin, Adnan, was supposed to submit his resume to a distant relative who works in Petronas. And i jumped at the opportunity to tag along (i literally jumped off my seat), when no one actually offered me to come along. Hahaha.

Well, dad was actually my cousin's 'escort'. And so, i offered to be my dad's 'driver'. Hahaha The things i do to get things done my way. ;)

Anyway...it was quite an experience, being on the 78th floor. At about 1200 ft up in the air, the view was spectacular. It's round about a typical cruising altitude for a helicopter! And we did see a helicopter at our eye level. hehehe.

But the best thing about having an office on the 78th floor is, the view of scenic mountains. Imagine after a stressful afternoon, you lean back in your chair whilst taking a deep breath...and you see the rolling mountains of Genting Highlands and the like. Perks of working in the National Oil company, eh? hehehe

All in all...the building's pretty impressive. Even for a cynical rakyat like myself, it managed to make me see the brighter things in life Malaysia.

Halfway through the visit, dad had to leave for a meeting (he was awefully late), leaving me and my cousin behind to meet the uncle who's supposed to have a mini interview with Adnan.

We waited for quite a while before we managed to see him (try an hour), but it was kinda worth it. He's super friendly and humble and jovial and helpful...all the good things la.

Anyway, he said "You guys might as well take a ride home with me, coz if you take the train, you'll just get stuck! We'll reach home faster, God willing."

I thanked god, and again i jumped at the opportunity of saving myself from wading through the sea 9-5 working people. "Only if it's convenient for you," I replied. :D I couldn't bear to do so, coz i could feel a fever developing within me.

And so we waited for him to wrap up his work, and by 6 we were on our way home...in a well air-conditioned, cool and fast car ride.

Hahaha. So despite my developing fever, i did have a good day. Funny eh?

Life's what you make out of it. So make the best out of it la, duh. Pure, simple physics.
