Hey all!
I'm very happy with my trip to Singapore, this time around. I've got to see my grandparents, lepaked a little with my cousins, travelled across the island alone, splashed water ;P...it was all good.
Now, i could write about what i did with every single detail...but i shan't torture you with too many words. Hehe.
Lemme just sum up what i did.
Day 1:
Got to Singapore friday night. Stayed up not too long before i crashed out. So i did nothing that night, really.
Day 2:
1 pm : Went to the East Coast Park with Dad, Uncle, cousin and sister. Dad got excited over my cousin's remote controlled helicopter, and he enthusiastically brought us to the park. There, my dad and uncle were more excited over the friggin' helicopter than we were.
After the Set up, the heli didn't budge from its launch pad. They fiddled with the thing for about 15 mins before we dragged them to the beach. Played with sand, jumped in water... then walked to the food junction for some tea and chicken wings. HAHA. What a weird combination.
12 am : Went to a 24 hours shopping center called Mustafa. Dad's idea. the place is kinda like our local Mydin. But bigger. And nicer. So we shopped right up about 3.30 am. Oh yeah, before we started our marathon, we had chicken biryani. HOHO.
4 am : Sleep.
Day 3 :
10 am : Woke up, got ready, and went to the zoo alone. Yes, the zoo. Yes, alone.
1 pm : Reached the zoo. Finally. Took some snap shots of baboons with uh, an unusually big red ass. Tigers, otters, hippos...many more. I saw a cute zoo keeper in his khaki uniform. No, i didn't take a picture of him holding a parrot.
4 pm : Reached Orchard Road. Waited for cousins. It was a spontaneous meet up of what was supposed to be a 4 people affair. But Ta-da (as usual) more came along to see...me. Hahaha. I'd like to think so, at least. There were 3 of us girl cousins out of 8 who came.
Splished splashed in puddles of water. Pissed cousins, made them laugh...they made me laugh. Had fun.
7 pm : Dinner in El-Sheikh. Well, we had finger food...which i didn't pay ehhehe. I paid for my mint tea only. Sat down had some more good laughs, and left for Bugis Junction.
Passed a few outdoor Christmas dinners people had in the back alley of some shop houses. Really cosy. Some Kwai Lo dude was giving a toast while we walked passed them. Then a few shop houses away, we passed the Masjid Sultan's Tok Imam. HAHAH. What a contrast! How did i find out he was the Imam? My cousin told me.
10 pm : Boarded the MRT back to grandparent's home. Had some more good laughs along the way. Talked about shaving creams,... sagging when we're 50. Man.
Day 4 :
9 am : Good Morning, and Goodbye! Packed up, had breakfast, bid farewell to the aunt, auncle, grandparents, and cousin. Waving goodbye seemed so difficult.
11 am : Stopped by Parkway Parade while the parents went to get some "kaw" Singapore food to bring back home. Murtabak, Currypuffs, and uh..their french loaves. Yum.
Shopped. And shopped. And Shopped.
3 pm : Chiowed for Malaysia. My home.
