Happy Merdeka Day, whatever it is to you.

It breaks my heart to see rempits rempit-ing with flags attached to them like capes. Grr. That's what Merdeka is, you see.

Last night my family and i went through the sea of traffic just to get a peek of the fireworks in Putrajaya. Instead of taking the exit to Putrajaya from the highway (which was impossible to do, anyway), we took the exit to KLIA and backtracked to Putrajaya from the other side.

Who knew we weren't the only ones who had the idea. So basically, every road which lead to and from Putrajaya was literally blocked.

Despite the massive, massive jam, we managed to watch the fireworks. I prefer last week's location, though. Nicer view of the fireworks. This time around, the Japanese's fireworks were different than the Italians'.

As midnight approached, the fireworks were shot. Lower than the Italians, but more colourful.

Apparently the the Japanese fireworks' tube-like exterior are made out of paper instead of metal. More traditional, i suppose?

Because of the restricted view and height of the fireworks, i only managed to capture few good pictures. Too few. Here's some.
